Itinerary

• Arrival in Guwahati – Transfer to Shillong

  Day 1

  Reach Guwahati Airport or Railway Station, and our representative will welcome you there. Start your picturesque journey to Shillong (around 100 km / 3 hrs). En route, take a break at Umiam Lake (Barapani), an awe-inspiring reservoir encircled by hills covered in pines—an ideal spot for photos. Once you arrive in Shillong, check into your accommodation. Spend the evening discovering Police Bazaar, renowned as Shillong’s shopping and culinary center. Evening meal and overnight accommodation in Shillong.

• Full-Day Shillong Sightseeing

  Day 2

  After breakfast, set out on a Shillong sightseeing tour. Visit Shillong Peak, the city's highest point, offering panoramic views of the Himalayas. Continue to Elephant Falls, a beautiful multi-tiered waterfall. Relax at Ward’s Lake, where boating and gardens make for a peaceful experience. Later, explore the Don Bosco Museum, which showcases the cultural diversity of Northeast India, and stroll through Lady Hydari Park, designed in a Japanese style with gardens and a mini-zoo. Return to your hotel by evening. Overnight stay in Shillong.

• Shillong to Mawlynnong & Dawki

  Day 3

  After breakfast, check out and drive to Mawlynnong Village (approx. 80 km / 3 hrs). Known as Asia’s Cleanest Village, it is characterised by its bamboo pathways, lush gardens, and clean streets. From here, trek to the Living Root Bridge at Riwai Village, a natural wonder formed by interwoven tree roots. Climb the Sky View bamboo tower for mesmerising views of the Indo-Bangladesh border. Later, proceed to Dawki (approximately 17 km) to experience the pristine Umngot River, famous for its crystal-clear waters, where boats appear to float in the air. Visit the Tamabil Border Point before returning to Mawlynnong for an overnight stay in a homestay or resort.

• Mawlynnong to Guwahati – Departure

  Day 4

  Delight in breakfast at the homestay. Check out and return to Guwahati (around 180 km / 5 hrs). Depending on your flight or train schedule, you can make a stop for local snacks or souvenirs. Leave at Guwahati Airport or Railway Station for your continuing journey. Your Meghalaya tour package concludes with memorable experiences.
